Building a Shade Structure: EPISODE 6: Metal Framing + Mockup

In this episode we mock up what the inside framing is going to look like so the homeowners can get a sense of how it’s going to function. We verified depth of back counter with them, soffit size, overall island length, etc. Next up: we’re finish the metal framing insides and get to work on more of the rough-in trades like plumbing, HVAC, and finish electrical. Let’s build a primary bathroom remodel together!

In this primary bathroom remodel, we’re extending the shower and adding a pony wall between the vanity and the toilet. So time to frame the new walls!

Next up: rough in plumbing for the new toilet, new vanity sinks, and shower system.

Now, we have to drywall the new walls and do some touch ups where needed.

After drywall and any baseboard install, we can start the tile prep.

Tile is complete!

Once the new tile has been installed, we can paint the walls and get ready for the finishing touches.

New vanity, mirrors, faucets, shelves! The electrician will install our new vanity lights.

We added shelves in the niche above the toilet for extra storage.

New toilet and shower system installed! The shower system includes the shower head, a hand shower, and three body jets. Talk about luxurious!

Voila! Glass was installed and the homeowner can move back in 🧖‍♀️😍
