Only 20 days left. If you haven't applied for your street use permit by now, you should look to schedule that work after July 7th when the moratorium ends. Check the map to see if your street or right-of-way is identified and prohibited from street work related closures. You may apply for an exception, but expect this to be extremely limited in scope and duration.

We are excited to be attending the Washington Department of Ecology Coastal Training Program for Forage Fish Surveying as required by Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife for costal construction projects. As luck would have it, we have partnered with a local professional who holds a BA in Environmental Studies to provide this required service to one of our customer's remote construction projects. Every day we get to open the door to new and exciting practices that will broaden our understanding of all construction and permitting requirements and this field training class will be a great change of pace from the desk work we normally perform. Don't forget to check yourself, your business and even your loved ones for money owed to you/them and held with Washington State Department of Revenue. Money owed to you could be returned to the state at any point. Check annually, it takes 10 seconds to search and is usually extremely straight forward to claim.

Today we had the privilege of meeting members of the Marin County Fire Department Swiftwater & Floor Rescue Team #11, up from California to assist us here in Washington with the flooding. As expected, their team would not allow us to pay their dinner tab, so instead we make this American Red Cross Northwest Region donation on behalf of their service and dedication. We thank you for your professionalism and commitment to community and to life safety.

A big portion of who we are today and how we got here is our hunger for knowledge and adaptability for finding solutions through necessity.

Today, we are evaluating ongoing educational opportunities through Washington Department of Ecology to become Forage Fish Surveyor Certified. Unfortunately, the class just concluded on Oct 9th. Check out all of the certifications, classes and seminars available at the link below for resources related to Shoreline development.

We don't want to be Forage Fish Surveyors, but we grow in these ways to find solutions. For our client who is in a remote location, there are NO service providers willing to conduct the forage fish survey on their project, so a solution is needed. We often fill in these gaps for projects, like a missing puzzle piece we can come in and make the project picture whole again. Unfortunately, we won't be able to solve for this problem today, so we will keep working on other solutions in the meantime. However, these explorations for solutions often lead to interesting and deep resources, like these classes offered by WDOE and WDFW.
