Construction Carpenter – WEST SEATTLE
Avid Builders, is an award winning General Contractor based in West Seattle specializing in residential and light commercial tenant improvements. We’re looking for experienced carpenters capable of handling a variety of projects from simple remodels to new home construction and small commercial build outs within the West Seattle Area. We are a strong, growing company with a good reputation that’s passionate about our work and need skilled persons that share our vision of success. The vast majority of our work is in West Seattle and this position is ideally suited for someone who lives around the West Seattle area and wants to work close to home.

Must haves:
• Communicate well with clients, co-workers, and office.
• Perform daily general carpentry duties and likes to do what it takes to get a job done.
• Ability to read drawings and understand how to assemble various projects.
• Integrity, honesty, and loves what you do.
• Strong general and well-rounded carpentry skills like framing, layout, demo, minor concrete work, finish carpentry, painting, caulking, installation of accessories, etc. You don’t need to know everything, just good, general, well-rounded knowledge.
• Good eye for details yet able to grasp the big picture.
• Ability to manage others a Plus.
• Proactive approach with all aspect of a project and can think days, weeks, and months ahead.
• Good references.
• Must be dependable with reliable transportation and tools.
• Min 5 years construction experience.
Compensation:
• $35 per hour range - DOE.
• 10 Days PTO.
• Flexible hours.

Located at 3809 Delridge Way SW just south of the WS Bridge, Ounces has grown considerably in the last year. The addition of the outside Post and Beam structure designed by Parie at LD Arch Design,www.ldarchdesign.com, has really captured the indoor - out door feel and turned the once broken up Asphalt pad into a great gathering spot to drink some of the best locally brewed beers!

West Seattle mixed use level 2 PT deck pour today. 120yd plus. We’ll be glad to finally get past all the major concrete work and on to structural steel and framing.

So nice to finally get the SOG down. And just in time with this weather. Getting out of the ground is a big milestone on these types of projects.
