The Crepe Myrtles (Lagerstromia indicates) are blooming in Seattle this month! A great late flowering tree for the small garden. :)

We found this ‘growing’ on our back balcony yesterday.  Not sure what it is but I removed it pronto!

Sense of wonder...and did you know that maple trees bloom? And that the blossoms are fragrant? I just discovered the tiny fragrant flowers today. I wish you could smell their subtle sweet fragrance too!

Sense of wonder...Look closely at the ‘flowers’ on these barberries, they’re pink! Usually the flowers are yellow but in this case the barberries are catching the fallen pink petals from the camellia above. A fun spring show!!!
