A look at the restoration process on this 1950s Paul Hayden Kirk home in Seward Park.

The scope: deteriorated wood siding replaced with materials built for the Pacific Northwest climate, window insulation updated to current performance standards, and waterproofing addressed throughout the exterior to ensure the home is as solid as it’s design.

No aesthetic changes here to stay true to Kirk’s original work.

We recently worked on a home remodel where the home owners wanted to keep the connection with the birds surrounding the house. So, to ensure birds remained around the house during construction, the Plum team has kept up with bird feeding while the home owners are away.

And we love it.

The client came in with a clear vision for what they wanted the space to feel like, and we worked through the material selections together to get it there.
