🐝 Is it a bee?
🌬️ Is it the wind?
🦸 Is it a superhero in stealth mode?

Nope. It's our battery-powered trimmer, proving that landscape care can sound a little different.

You get the haircut. You book the facial. You refresh yourself for the season.

Sometimes the house deserves its turn too. ✨

We can help with cleanups, mulch, plantings, pressure washing or even small projects like the one pictured here that don’t involve big or expensive design work but make a big impact.

If your home had a spa menu, what would you book first?

🔋 Our fleet of electric tools is officially ready, and the gas-powered equipment is gone!

After years of planning, testing, and training, we're officially launching 100% electric tools in our landscape maintenance teams.

🧤 We're so proud of our team and everyone who helped us carry out this transition. Now, our tools also reflect our commitment to environmental stewardship and help us create a better experience for our clients, crews, and communities.

🤝 The equipment is charged, the crews are trained, and today we get to put it all into action.

😁 Here's to a quieter, cleaner future for landscape care.

🩷 One of our favorite moments from this Spring happened while doing a final walkthrough with a client.

A class from John Muir Elementary School stopped along the sidewalk and in the planting areas to learn about plants, mulch, and the living systems growing around them. 🌷

👏 It was encouraging to see how curious the young students were, beginning to notice the textures, plants, and seasonal rhythms that make the Pacific Northwest so unique.

This is particularly special to our owner, Nicolette McCary, who wrote her senior thesis at the University of Washington on how to integrate more of the student research into sharing with the local students and community.

🥹 A special moment to witness!

🎉 It arrived! The beginning of our new era.

🔋 With 100% electric tools across our yard care maintenance division, you may have a harder time noticing when your team arrives!

🙌 These tools are significantly quieter, creating fewer interruptions to you and your neighbor’s life rhythms - from WFH meetings to a baby’s nap.

✅ We're now prepared for a major step forward in how we care for landscapes across the Seattle area.

Our went for a walk near in Kirkland and heard a giant ‘KRPLUNK’ from the water. She looked over and spotted a 🦫🌿

🌿 What makes the moment even more remarkable is that just a few years ago this area was dry and forested. Now it has transformed into a wetland ecosystem that supports water, habitat, and countless other species.

🦫 Beavers are often called “ecosystem engineers” because they reshape entire landscapes through their dams and waterways. Their work slows water movement, creates wetlands, supports biodiversity, filters pollutants, reduces erosion, and helps landscapes stay resilient in this region.

In many ways, they are nature’s landscape architects.

Here in the , landscapes are deeply connected to water. Creeks, wetlands, soil health, drainage, and native ecosystems all influence how a place grows and changes over time. And it is an area where Beavers thrive!

Sometimes the best reminder comes from simply slowing down long enough to notice what nature is already building. 🌱

⚽🌱 To prepare for the , the is temporarily replacing the artificial turf with live grass.

🌱 That change requires far more than simply laying sod. Irrigation systems, grow lights, drainage layers, ventilation, and constant field care are all being added to support a living surface inside one of Seattle’s busiest venues.

⚽ Soccer players prefer natural grass, and FIFA requires it as a game standard. Yet , honestly, is not the easiest environment for maintaining stadium-quality turf year-round.

Our region grows extraordinary landscapes: evergreen canopies, layered gardens, mosses, woodland textures, and thriving seasonal plantings. But balancing Seattle’s rain cycles, shaded conditions, and the heavy use of a multi-purpose stadium creates a very different challenge for natural turf.

That’s part of why the field will return to artificial turf after the tournament.

🌿 Every landscape performs differently depending on where it is, how it’s used, and how it’s cared for over time.

That’s true in a stadium, and it’s true in the landscapes we build and maintain across the . 💚

🪻 Some of Seattle’s most impressive are actually .

When newly planted, they can look small and delicate. But over time, many mature into towering evergreen forms with thick trunks, layered canopies, and blooms that return each spring beneath the trees.

In the , rhododendrons thrive because they belong to this environment. Seattle’s acidic soils, cool temperatures, filtered light, and seasonal moisture create ideal conditions for them to grow slowly and naturally into the landscape over decades.

What begins as a small can eventually become part hedge, part tree, part woodland habitat.

And that transformation is part of what makes mature so special. 🌿

Under Pressure 🎶

💦 Water pressure carves canyons, polishes stones, and creates natural marvels like Point of the Arches or Haystack Rock on the coast.

Applied with purpose, pressure can reveal the best of your landscapes too!

🌻 Before planting, we pay attention to the “invisible forces” in your yard: those influences that, as landscape designers, we’re trained to identify before making any decision: sun exposure, wind behavior, and drainage or water movement.

☀️ In this small corner of our client’s property, full sun exposure and well-draining soil create the right conditions for a specific planting palette to achieve their low-maintenance goals for the area: rosemary, Russian sage, and Mexican orange blossom.

To craft thriving landscapes that will last, our designers will visit your property and unveil those natural influences. 🌿
