Where Marymoor’s parkland meets Redmond’s growing tech corridor, The Piper brings together the energy of a growing urban hub with the calm of the Pacific Northwest landscape.

For the families arriving here from around the world, this place had to feel local before it felt new. Cool greens and deep blues root one building in the quiet of the forest floor; warm, sun-drenched tones lift the other into the dappled light of the canopy above. Between them: a full art walk, building-scale murals, and interiors that carry that same bold, gallery-level energy inside.

Located steps from the light rail and designed with families in mind, The Piper is color-saturated, pattern-forward, and grounded in nature — ready to welcome home residents who toggle between trailheads and standing desks, weekend concerts and school drop-offs.

Happy International Museum Day. For our work with , we partnered with communities across Oregon to reimagine the museum’s brand identity through a more inclusive, accessible, and place-based design system.

The new identity is built around a flexible wordmark, with distinct letterforms inspired by OMSI’s five science learning frameworks. Open-source typefaces support accessibility across languages and platforms, while a color palette inspired by Oregon thundereggs brings local context to the visual system.

Designed to scale across digital and physical touchpoints, the identity unites OMSI’s full ecosystem, from the Portland museum to camps in rural Oregon and traveling classrooms. The result is a brand system that is expressive, adaptable, and rooted in the communities it serves.

May’s material palette celebrates the tactile, artisanal legacy of AAPI cultures, highlighting the ingenuity of craftsmanship passed down through generations. Inspired by natural fibers, raw materials, and organic forms, it feels grounded, earthy, and sophisticated. Bringing the celebration from the abstract to the tangible, the palette reflects how AAPI heritage is built, woven, and nurtured through generations of craft and care.

In the age of AI, tech workplaces are redefining the intersection of human and social capital. Workplaces that put culture and values on display and bring people together for meaningful experiences allow tech firms to attract and retain the best and brightest.

Increasingly, these environments extend beyond the office to the buildings and neighborhoods they inhabit, forming ecosystems that enhance creativity, encourage exploration, and inspire collective action. Young tech and AI companies are being deliberate about where these ecosystems take shape, and they’re reanimating buildings in neighborhoods that were vacated during the pandemic. This way, they can start small, grow over time, and contribute to the broader urban fabric. Establishing workplaces in these locales offers flexibility and potential: if all goes well, they have the space and infrastructure to expand, but they’re not bound to it.

Signage and wayfinding for PATH’s new Seattle HQ takes its cues from the work itself. As an organization developing medicines and health technologies for resource-constrained settings, PATH’s mission shapes a global landscape, and we wanted the office’s wayfinding to quietly reflect that.

The system draws from the visual world of pharmaceuticals: the rounded, lozenge, and oval forms of pills and capsules; the soft, saturated palette of medicine cabinets and apothecary jars; and the glossy semi-transparency of liquid gel caps. Throughout the space, staff are surrounded by quiet reminders of why their work matters and who it ultimately serves.

Fabricated in 3form translucent resin, the signs catch and hold light throughout the day, lending a soft luminosity to PATH’s earthy interior palette. 3form was a deliberate choice: their resin panels contain 40% pre-consumer recycled content, are Greenguard Gold certified for low chemical emissions, and can be returned at end of life through the company’s Reclaim program. For an organization whose work centers on health equity and long-term resilience, specifying materials that perform across aesthetic, environmental, and human-health metrics felt like the right alignment.

The result is a wayfinding system that helps people move through the space intuitively while reinforcing what PATH does every day: making science legible, accessible, and human.

The Wyatt Makers Quarter brings a new kind of energy to Downtown San Diego - where living, working, and gathering are seamlessly connected through design.

Shaped by a broader vision for how “work” fits into the city, the project creates a flexible, integrated environment that supports everything from productivity to play.

The design of Makers Quarter is defined by layered natural textures and a palette of wood and soft neutrals, complemented by deep blue tones and lush greenery throughout. From residences to amenity spaces, every detail is designed to feel calm, crafted, and connected - supporting a modern “live-work-play” lifestyle.
