Congratulations to the Los Angeles General Medical Center Restorative Care Village team on their completed project! Last week we celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new Psychiatric Subacute Facility. And that’s not all — the project was completed 30 days ahead of the original contracted delivery date.

Completed under a fast-tracked, design-build contract with SWA Architects, this four-story behavioral health facility expands and completes the Restorative Care Village on the LA General campus. The new 107,000 sf building for Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health will provide a continuum of care for behavioral health services, housing six separate operators with 96 total beds. Designed with the well-being of the facility’s staff and clients in mind, features include outdoor staff patios, client balconies, rooftop terrace, individual and shared in-suite care rooms, common kitchens, dining facilities, private offices, and conference rooms, with many opportunities for natural light and outdoor access while protecting client privacy.

Congratulations to Los Angeles County Public Works and the entire project team on this meaningful project! This facility will serve and support countless community members on their way to better health.

Good design is made for people to use and enjoy. At this year’s Seattle Design Festival, we enjoyed many unique, interactive works created by our friends and partners in the design community, but the most fun was helping bring one of them to life.

These short-term installations transport visitors to other worlds and perspectives, like a walkway underwater, bicycle wheel mobiles, an interactive bridge, or even a slice of the local forest. We helped NBBJ and KPFF build a room with a mesmerizing ceiling of hanging chalk and walls inviting endless creativity of passersby.

Thank you to all of our design partners who took the time to make something fun and beautiful for our Seattle community: Gensler, HDR, HOK, NBBJ, Mahlum, The Miller Hull Partnership, Mithun, Olson Kundig, and Perkins Eastman.

Tear it down, build it up. For the Jefferson Healthcare South Campus Modernization project, our team first had to carefully demolish the existing building before we could build the new two-level outpatient, radiation, oncology, and ASC facility, all within an occupied critical access hospital campus.

From exploratory investigations to precise tie-in details, every decision was made with the campus and community in mind, keeping patient care and transfers running without interruption. The result is a durable, adaptable facility built to support both today's needs and tomorrow's growth.

Building a safe, healing space for little ones. When building a hospital made entirely for children, we get to create spaces and moments that speak to them, from kid-sized furniture to colorful art and finishes to the moments we pause construction so kids can tour the site or hunt for Waldo.

Are you enjoying the World Cup? Because we certainly are. In honor of USA playing Belgium at Lumen Field tonight, here’s a look at some of our work across this campus.

Our people don’t do midair bicycle kicks, but they do impressive work. Suite renovations, locker room upgrades, bar and lounge renovations, the Pro Shop, the Tunnel Club, the Hawk’s Nest fan hub, and more—all of it shaping the fan and player experience long after our crews pack up.

We love getting to work on a stadium where teams and fans come together from around the globe. Let’s go, USA!

It's official. The new Mary Bridge Children's Hospital campus is now open!
Mary Bridge Children's Hospital now has a home of its own, with 6 floors and 262,000 square feet built just for kids.

Partnering with our sister company Layton Construction and the brilliant designers at ESa, our united team poured their hearts into every inch of this new campus. From dedicated pediatric operating rooms and imaging suites to play areas designed to comfort and inspire young patients — every detail was chosen and crafted with these children and their families in mind.

Congratulations, Mary Bridge Children's Hospital, on your beautiful, new home! We could not be any prouder of this project.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten, and we are forever grateful for the freedoms they helped secure.

Construction Safety Week may be coming to a close, but our dedication isn’t going anywhere. This week has been full of many exciting demonstrations and events. In Washington and California, our project teams explored and trained in elevated work and fall prevention, safer boom lift usage, heat illness prevention, mental health support, situational awareness, and so much more.

The days were filled with tasty treats, team meals, and practical giveaways that brought energy and enjoyment.

But our safety commitment doesn’t end here. Safety excellence remains our priority every day of the year. This week simply provided us the opportunity to celebrate our safety culture while strengthening our knowledge together.
Thank you to all our staff, trade partners, and sponsors who helped lead these events, and to everyone who participated. You made this week a resounding success! Thank you for being committed to safety, for everybody, everywhere, everyday.
