OBSESSED with the new site-cast concrete countertop: A solid surface for mixing glaze or displaying finished work. Lots of progress on our Seward Park Ceramics Studio, designed by SHED. Window frames—custom-built in our woodshop—are in, with field-glazed fixed insulated glass units and Stile operable units. And the rounded nook—both a functional element and a feature of the room—is tiled ready for the kiln. With finishes coming together, this studio is beginning to sparkle.

Transforming a former office into a home comes with its own set of challenges, but one solution is bespoke. To bring lived-in warmth to our Business to Abode project, we custom-made the cabinetry. Fabricated in the Bucktide woodshop, it's stained white oak, built to feel residential and informal.

Sun-filled cozy corners in our Poet's Cottage, which just wrapped. Wouldn't be complete without books on the shelves. Only a few more boxes to unpack, and it already feels like the perfect spot to write more prose.

Southern and western exposure at our Larch House. Triple-glazed windows, tight envelope, and passive building tech quietly doing the job. High-performance now looks good.

Ciao bella! Pizza party at our Ceramic Studio with SHED, celebrating that we're finished with insulation and moving on to interiors. The custom-built windows are in (builders love to talk about windows), and we're in a festive mood. The Bucktide cabinet shop fired up the ovens and cranked out custom pizzas: chefs kiss!

Looking sunny at our Sky House. Here, the unique windows, doors, and skylights provide direct and filtered light, even deep inside the home. Designed by Stephenson Design Collective, this second-story addition and remodel in Madrona captures the sunlight at different angles throughout the year.
