Peters Excavating, Inc. is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator! LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY - NON UNION SHOP

We are a small, Sebastopol-based General Engineering Contractor specializing in underground utilities, site work and paving for single-family residential homes, subdivisions and commercial buildings.

Qualified candidate must have at least 3 years recent heavy equipment operating experience, be able to safely demonstrate the proper skill and knowledge of operating heavy equipment and have a thorough understanding of the construction trade. Health benefits after 3 months and 401k benefits with employer matching after one year of full-time work.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Operating front end loaders
Motor graders, excavators, bulldozers
Backhoes, scrapers, rollers, and compactors
2. Thoroughly & correctly fill out a daily report/timecard to be handed in each day
3.Maintain (oil, gas, and grease), the equipment used on the job site
4. Read and execute plans on the jobsite
5. Ability to operate a Leeboy Paver is a plus!

Basic Knowledge of stripping, demolition and excavation for all site work activities; all aspects of underground utilities including trenching, shoring, wheel compacting, setting pipe, bedding and backfill are a MUST!

Requirements:

- Valid Driver's License with a clean DMV record
- Legal status to work in California
- Ability to pass a physical exam and pre-employment alcohol and drug test
- Must speak fluent English (Bilingual a plus)
- Must be able to communicate professionally with customers
- Must be reliable
- Work well with others
- Give direction to others correctly and efficiently and follow direction, when given.
- Be self-motivated
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Keep on task until it is completed correctly

Applicant MUST live in or near Sonoma County

Candidate should be able to work well with others, follow direction (when given), be self motivated and able to keep on task until completed.

PREVIOUS laborer experience in general engineering field and Underground experience is a MUST

Requirements:

-Ability to pass a physical exam and pre-employment alcohol and drug test.
-Must have clean and valid CA Driver's License
-Legal to work in California
-Must speak fluent English (Bilingual a plus!)

We are a Sebastopol based general engineering contractor specializing in residential, commercial, and subdivision grading, paving, and underground utility work. We are looking for a professional and experienced Class A Truck Driver. Duties include, but are not limited to, deliver materials to and from job sites, haul large pieces of equipment to and from job sites, maintaining all trucks and trailers and maintain accurate written records. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OPERATING A 5-AXLE TRANSFER, LOW BOY, AND END DUMP.

This position requires the following:
-Legal status to work in the USA
-Valid Class A License with clean H-6 DMV report (no accidents, DUI's, or current tickets)
-Verifiable minimum of three years of commercial Class A qualified driving, incident free
-Must be able to pass a DOT background check
-Must submit to Previous Employer Alcohol and Drug Testing procedural forms.
-Ability to pass physical, including pre-employment alcohol and drug test
-Must pass a road test including DOT pre & post trip procedures
-Must be compliant with all federal, state, local and company compliance requirements
-Must maintain accurate written records
-Must be able to positively and PROFESSIONALLY communicate with customers
-Must be fluent in English
-Must be RELIABLE

This is not an entry-level position, we are looking for experienced applicants only. We are a small, Sebastopol-based General Engineering Contractor specializing in underground utilities, site work and paving.

Qualified candidate must have previous heavy equipment operating experience, be able to safely demonstrate the proper skill and knowledge of operating heavy equipment, have a thorough understanding of the construction trade, and have experience overseeing the day-to-day operations of a job site with a 3+ person crew.
