Celebrating my 6th year on Facebook. Thank you for your continuing support. March 31st would have been 6 years in business. I could never have made it without you. ππ€π All business has its ups and downs as do people in life with personal issues. Not one person is perfect. A trying person with good intentions will always go the distance. Through the death of my brother, grandmother and a child it's been tough to say the least. Running a business is not for the faint of heart. About 2 years in, a customer tried to sue me for a perfectly good job. They were unsuccessful and then turned around and got me fined by LNI for 30k. My license i just found was to be suspended until payment was made. Clearly I did not have that kind of money lying around. It wasn't long until I fell behind on all my bills. I was forced to move out of my 3 bedroom home into what was my really nice camper. So I consolidated everything from the house to the camper. It wasn't long until said camper got stolen with all my important belongings including my brothers ashes, few things i had from family and friends that passed. Basically everything I owned. Shortly after my truck got repossessed and I had to sell my dump trailer for a reliable/good working little car. (No heat all winter). I left Skagit County recently to finally have the opportunity to be with my daughter. I left on bad terms with one customer who I will be making a financial ammends to. I was supposed to be at a customers home one day. My phone was dead and on the charger (was not expected until the following day) I took a long nap and rested most of the day only to wake up, turn my phone on and see the customers wife had blasted my name all over the internet..(was said I took $15,000.00)(I had already torn off, 5,500 sq.10x10 ft.=100sf.=55sq., including dump fees of $1,000.00 plus the cost of top of the line synthetic felt (APOC) which is around$100.00 a roll and installed it.There was a small area left unpapered as I ran out which i then covered with tarps).(This before taxes leaves a return of$4,300.00 that i will be paying back to the customer. I had also received threatening voicemails from the wife, son & daughter in law. (I initially had a contract with the womans husband). At this point I didn't feel safe nor comfortable going back. This was all followed up by hate speech and internet threats, messages. I have always ran my business with the highest regard towards the customers and the homes they house their families in. I had never had a bad review. I gave a 5 year craftsmanship warranty where I would come fix anything for free if it had failed upon my doing. In 6 years I even shelled out 10k or more multiple times out of pocket to right any wrongs of the very few (3 jobs) I had made mistakes on. I felt like I was finally in a place where I felt OK to share this as I believe honesty is the best policy. As I said, not one person is perfect and everyone needs a little grace sometimes. You never really know what someone is going through. It is safe to say I was very ashamed of myself as this was not the typical behavior for me to exhibit. I knew I needed to take a step back and assess the situation further. I most certainly should have conducted myself in a different manner and at least communicated what was going on. This is me clearing the air. I apologize to anyone I hurt or any damage I may have caused. It was not my intention to do so with any sort of malace in my heart or alterior motive. I will be moving my business to another state where I can be with my daughter, watch her grow and be present in her life finally. As far as any warranty goes in that 5 year span. If any problems accur please give me a call at (360)303-6970. I will send out a licensed, bonded and insured roofing outfit to take care of it paid by myself. I thank you Skagit and surrounding Counties for all your love and support. It has been my absolute pleasure to serve you all! In the mean time please leave us a review of the experience you had working with us. Thank you. π π π¨
