Unlike many plants, palms put out their new growth right from the center! A healthy palm will have a strong spike emerging from the middle, where brand-new fronds begin to develop.

As those new fronds slowly unfurl, the older ones naturally age and die off, making room for fresh growth!

So next time you’re looking at a palm, check the center! That little spike is one of the best signs that your palm is actively thriving. 🌴
