🤠 🔨 Throwback Thursday

Long before Cowboy Carpentry, LLC, Derek was a young 4-H member building anything he could imagine.

This tractor and wagon was the very first project he ever built — proof that passion for craftsmanship started early and never stopped growing.

Years later, that same dedication to quality and attention to detail is what drives every project we take on today.

🐴 If your animals could design their dream run-in shed, what would they ask for? 🤔

▫️More shade?
▫️More space?
▫️A feed room?
▫️Better protection from the weather?

At Cowboy Carpentry, LLC, we build custom run-in sheds designed to fit your animals, your property, and your needs — not a one-size-fits-all package.

Tell us in the comments: What feature would be a must-have in your perfect run-in shed?

👇 Bonus points if you share a picture of the animals you are building it for!

Think fascia just comes out of a box ready to install?

Not around here.

Every bend has to be precise, every measurement has to be right, and every detail has to fit the home perfectly.

This is the kind of work that happens behind the scenes — the part most people never see, but it’s what makes the finished product look clean and professional.

🔨 Sawdust Sunday Tips 🔨

Your home needs maintenance — but so do your relationships.

This Week’s Tip: Schedule family time the same way you schedule home projects. The chores, repairs, and to-do lists will always be there, but the opportunities to make memories with your kids won’t.

Even the owner of Cowboy Carpentry knows the importance of stepping away from the job site once in a while. This weekend, Derek traded his tool belt for a few hours at the waterpark with his family — because the memories we make with our loved ones are just as important as the homes we build.

Take a break, unplug for a few hours, and enjoy the people who make your house a home.

Because some of life’s best investments aren’t made with tools — they’re made with time. ❤️

Some folks hit the gym. Some folks go fishing.

Around here, we buy perfectly good lumber and spend the day cutting it into smaller pieces. 🤠 🪚

It’s not just building — it’s a way of life. Just another day of doing what we love.

🪵 Sunday Sawdust Tips 🪚

Welcome back to our weekly series where Cowboy Carpentry, LLC shares simple, practical tips to help you care for your home and property.

This Week’s Tip: Add a Little Color Around Your Home

This weekend, our daughter Maci spent some time planting wildflowers around the property. 🌼 As a family-owned business, we know that the little things can make a big difference.

🌱 Consider planting flowers, shrubs, or other landscaping around your home to:
✔️ Boost curb appeal
✔️Help reduce soil erosion
✔️Attract pollinators like bees and butterflies
✔️Create a more welcoming outdoor space
✔️Add value to your property

💡 You don’t need a major landscaping project to make an impact. A few flower beds or a patch of wildflowers can completely change the look of your home.

🤠 At Cowboy Carpentry, LLC, we’re proud to be a family business that values hard work, craftsmanship, and taking pride in the place you call home.

Most people only see the finished product.

We see the preparation, the hard work, and the countless details that happen before the final reveal.

From Tyvek wrap to a completely transformed exterior, this project is another reminder that quality work is all about trusting the process.

From simple gazebo to the ultimate entertainment space 🤠 🍻

We recently completed an addition onto this existing gazebo to create more room for gathering, relaxing, and making memories with family and friends.

✔️ Expanded entertainment space
✔️ Custom cedar bar
✔️ Stained to perfectly match the existing woodwork
✔️ Standing seam roofing

Projects like this are all about blending new craftsmanship seamlessly with the original structure — and creating a space our clients can enjoy for years to come.

If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your outdoor space, let’s build something that fits your lifestyle.

🪵 Sunday Sawdust Tips 🇺🇸 🛠️
Memorial Day Weekend Edition
From Cowboy Carpentry, LLC 🤠

As you fire up the grill, gather with family, and enjoy the long weekend, don’t forget a few quick home safety checks before the summer season kicks off.

This Week’s Tip: Check Your Deck and Outdoor Spaces

Before hosting friends and family this weekend, take 10 minutes to inspect:
✅ Loose deck boards or railings
✅ Popped nails or screws
✅ Rotten wood or soft spots
✅ Wobbly steps or handrails
✅ Outdoor outlets & extension cords

⚠️ A small issue now can turn into a bigger repair later — or become a safety hazard during summer gatherings.

💡 Pro Tip:
Give your grill plenty of space away from siding, railings, and overhangs to prevent heat damage or fire risks.

This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
