This kitchen used to feel boxed in. Not anymore.

We removed the load bearing wall separating the kitchen from the living room, opening up the whole space and letting light move through the entire downstairs. Added custom cabinets, an island with a built in exhaust, and new lighting to finish it off.

Structural work like this takes planning to do right, but the payoff is a home that finally breathes.

That beam is gone, the space is open, and this kitchen is finally done. Dark blue cabinets, split brick backsplash, and pickled doors and trim tie it all together beautifully. The homeowners even added their own shiplap touch, and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
