CDL Truck Driver positions involve a wide range of duties supporting road construction projects. Responsibilities include operating dump trucks to haul materials such as dirt, asphalt, pipe sand, and maintenance stone, as well as driving lowboy trailers to transport equipment and other commercial vehicles used in construction.
Work Environment:
Full-time positions for a family company based in Seneca, South Carolina. We generally work within driving distance from our home office location, so all employees are home each night. Our crews meet at a centrally located shop each morning and disperse to various job sites. As a small family company, all of our employees work together. During certain points of jobs, trucking may not be needed as much, and truck drivers may be asked to assist with other duties such as traffic control and other site maintenance to assist the foreman and other supervisors.
Applicant Requirements:
- Must be able to work 40 hours Monday – Friday.
- Applicants must be willing and able to work in construction environments which can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet and noisy.
- All applicants must be 23 years of age or older and possess a valid CDL driver’s license.
- Must have or provide own transportation to and from work.
- Applicants may be subject to a background check and must be able to pass a drug screen and qualify through e-verify.
- Must be willing and able to adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
