As spring approaches, plants are beginning to bloom again! But with new growth comes a potential headache for your plumbing. 🌿😫

When tree roots start to grow, many homeowners suddenly face unexpected clogs, blockages, and backups in their drains. This happens when the roots invade pipes, causing a tangled mess called "root balling" that disrupts your plumbing.
At Veteran Plumbing Services, we use advanced camera inspections to pinpoint the root (or any other blockage) causing the issue. Then, our knowledgeable team will hydro jet your drains to clear and prevent future clogs.
Contact us today to learn about our spring specials on camera inspections, drain cleaning, and hydro jetting! We offer 24/7 service, so don’t wait—reach out before a minor issue becomes a bigger problem! 🌱💧
We're Veteran Plumbing Services- still serving America and proud to serve you!

Most people experience this problem in the winter: “My pipes are freezing! What should I do?” 😱🥶
In the case that you notice your pipes starting to freeze, here are some measures you can take to prevent a burst pipe in your home!
1. Locate the frozen area and shut off the water to the pipe - If you have access to it, you should find the specific freezing pipeline and isolate the area by turning off the water valve connected to it! This will prevent any more water from going in and escalating the problem.
2. Open the area where the pipe is located - The most common areas in the home where freezing pipes may occur are uninsulated locations like under the kitchen sink, in the attic, and in the garage. Once you locate the frozen pipe, warm the area up by opening any doors or cabinets that were preventing heat to the pipe. You should also open the faucet that the pipe is connected to to relieve the pressure the water will cause when you start thawing your pipes!
3. Provide heat near the pipe - It’s important to slowly thaw the pipe to not crack it from an extreme temperature change! Placing a space heater on low heat or gently using a hair dryer to heat the pipe will allow the ice to melt slowly and without issue. It is important to note that you should NOT place the heat source inside your cabinets or use any direct flames to prevent any risk of fire!
4. Watch for signs of bursting pipes - It’s crucial to keep an eye on the frozen pipes to make sure there’s no cracking or bursting in the pipeline!

If a frozen pipe turns into a burst pipe, it is important to locate the problem to get it remedied ASAP! Once you locate the burst pipe, isolate the line by shutting off the specific water valve or the main water valve to your house. You should then open the faucet that is connected to the pipe to relieve any pressure. Next, clean up any water that has leaked onto the floor to prevent any water damage or structural issues in your home.
Finally, contact Veteran Plumbing Services to schedule an appointment to fix your home piping! We offer around-the-clock emergency services to get your plumbing back up and running, so don't hesitate to call! 👨🏻‍🔧

Do you have an unexpected plumbing repair or replacement need? Dont' stress!
We’ve partnered with Wisetack to offer our customers flexible financing options, so you can pay over time rather than all at once. The application takes about a minute to complete, and checking your options does not impact your credit score.
