It’s official! 🙌

In real estate, they say ABC = always be closing! Today Jon and I closed on 2 parcels of land in Bennington. This puts into motion our long-held vision of building spec homes. With record-low inventory and strong buyer demand, there has never been a better time to take this leap.

New construction for sale is rare in Vermont due to the high costs of construction. A chunk of that is caused by our state’s Residential Building Energy Standards (RBES) code. Going green costs a lot of money!

Since our very first project (gut renovation of 726 Old Depot Rd in 2015) we’ve received positive feedback for our architectural choices, design aesthetic and incorporation of modern amenities (such as central air, which is a must-have in my opinion!).

As most people know, we sold that house after 5 years and built our dream home in North Bennington. It’s nearing completion and my creativity is bursting at the seams with new ideas for Fox Hill.

We are optimistic we can make this venture a win-win… profitable for us + beautiful and comfortable for a new homeowner.

Apartment renovation in Bennington. New kitchen, bathroom, flooring, paint — the works! Removed a wall for open concept. Moved the bathroom to fit a classy yet modern tiled tub/shower. Added a laundry room & storage. One bedroom has new carpet and spacious closet.

UPDATE: Lease has been signed! Thanks everyone who helped spread the word.

One of many bathroom remodels we have tackled recently… added a window for natural light, removed the old fiberglass tub/shower, installed a new tub and classic white subway tile. Clients chose gray grout (not shown) and corner shelves. Will look sharp when it’s all done this week!

The challenges facing the construction industry are real. Availability of materials, labor shortages, skyrocketing prices…. You feel it, I feel it. Eventually things will settle down. I appreciate all my clients who have been patient throughout the pandemic!
