Right now I’m working on a platform system to repair a broken beam on the 4th floor in the Dome of the old Flora McDonald building now known as the Highlander Academy. The job required cutting the first floor and pouring 8 concrete footings and going up with 8-8x8 columns from the ground up to 5th floor. This is a dangerous job but someone got to do it. After I build the platform, I have to jack up the beam and install 4 metal beams to the old wooden beam to hold it in place. I love working on old buildings especially for my home town of Red Springs. I will try to post some pictures soon.

Been busy the last few months doing windows restoration at the old Flora Macdonald academy in Red Springs, NC. They had 3 guys before me not able to do the job. Sashes are removed, restored, re-glazed and installed. Windows sills, stool, frame and casing are restored and all re-painted. About 50 double windows so far about 30 more to go on this go around. I will post pictures of the outside soon, didn’t have any on my phone.
