My first time at Trilith Guesthouse. I brought about 150 Poinsettias lining their runway, adorning their tables, and built a living photo wall to help out with their Winter Wonderland. How do you think it turned out?

One of the challenges on this project was to blend a new landscape into an existing one. The existing landscape contained, a Japanese maple, a tropical palm tree, a pacific northwest conifer, and a southern oak tree. A border will be added during phase 2.

A corner lot with plenty of potential, and a home owner who wanted color year round. For the edges I chose a low-mounding Candy corn Double play Spirea which was just beginning to show some of its orange color on top of the already vibrant yellow foliage. I placed Daper Lavender butterfly bushes just to the inside. Down the middle of the island was the star of the show. October Magic Camelias! This variety is known for its stunning pink blooms which arrive in late October and continue on into the Winter months. Just to the outside of the camelias, I chose Autumn Chiffon Encore Azaleas to provide a Spring and early Fall pop of white and pink blooms. To put my signature on this island, I added two small perennial beds to enhance the butterfly bushes and create a pollinator haven. Accenting the Oak with brown mulch, and using mini nuggets to dress out the perennials gives even more visual appeal to the area.

From sod to sanctuary. This pool needed some character. It came in the form of fragrance, foliar interest, pollinators, specimens, and of course blooms. Purple daydream Lorapetalums, for their purple foliage, Frost proof gardenias for a fragrant hedge, Butterfly bushes for pollinators, azaleas for their pink blooms, Carex grasses for their bright yellow blades, and a special one to climb the trellised entrance. All boxes checked, just add water.

Winter Kill was rough this year on even the most mature landscapes. Now is the best time to give the mom in your life exactly what she wants. A front yard makeover.

This 30 yr old landscape got a . We decided to leave the king and queen hollies up front but remove all other plants. For foliar interest a Japanese Maple was added, Kaliedoscope Abelias, as well Carex evergold grasses. The trellised camelia for winter blooms, and the gardenias for their inviting fragrance. Color, fragrance, mulch, rocks, lighting, and low maintenance year round. Welcome home!

Hand placing each and every rock creates a creek bed, while dumping loads of rocks creates a walkway. Both are beautiful, but not all are equal in function. We removed all the rocks by hand, re-carved the creek, added drainage, and then replaced each rock by hand.
