"Breaching the Gap"

Collybia nuda, the Wood Blewit, cultured on yeast/agar medium from a tissue sample collected in Redding, CA, USA. At the top we can see the formation of ellipsoid spores along with mycelial threads at the bottom, reaching for the other side of the medium, trying to spread out, colonize, and find more nutrition on their bed of seaweed extract, after I took out a piece to make liquid culture. This photograph was taken at 720x with my new digital microscope from China. I can't knock the quality of photos that this thing takes and how user friendly it is for only $170 USD. Be prepared for a lot microscopic myco photography from me in the coming forever, mush love 🍄❤️.
