We just wrapped up this maintenance coat in beautiful Pickerel, Wisconsin. Pro tip when taking care of your waterborne, film-forming stain:

✔ Gently rinse the house with detergent every 12-18 months.
✔ Touch up caulking every 1-2 years using Sashco, Inc. sealants.
✔ Re-apply clear coat to sun-exposed log areas every 2-3 years, and other areas every 3-5 years.
✔ Keep a gallon of color coat on hand for touch ups.

Remember to keep a maintenance schedule - an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.🌲✌🌲

We're thrilled with the results of this re-oil on beautiful Lake Poygan, Wisconsin. Why do we love penetrating oils? Because the maintenance is so simple:

☝️Rinse with hot water and detergent
✌️Touch up caulking using Sashco, Inc. sealants.
👌Apply oil until the wood is saturated

If you choose a high quality oil and prep the wood properly, the stain will never darken, peel, or become more opaque. Thanks to our friends at Dearco Glass Paint & Decorating for the Boodge oil stain.
