The fact that everyone knows everyone. Everyone says hi. We're growing, but we don't lose that tight-knit vibe.

INTERESTS 🍼☕️
I have two babies, a 2-year-old and a 7-month-old, so I don't currently have any interests or hobbies. But someday I hope to get back into things like yoga, reading, and gardening. I do love a good $8 latte. The kids haven't stopped me from enjoying that luxury.

TRAVEL ✈️
Anywhere with just my husband and no kids ;) We love the beach, but hope to go to Europe for the first time at some point.

I have been with Schier for two and a half years.

ROLE 📁
As an HR team of one, I have the privilege of working with leadership, our people managers, and individual contributors on a daily basis and get to continuously improve the employee lifecycle at Schier. I enjoy many things about my job, but the variety in the day-to-day and getting to help people are probably the two biggest. Some days I get to onboard a new employee; other days I'm working on a slide presentation to better educate our employees on our benefit offerings.

CULTURE 🤝
We have a great company culture at Schier. I believe that starts with our purpose statement: "We make the world better by serving and providing for our employees." As an HR professional, it's refreshing to have a purpose statement that you can stand behind. A lot of people point to our ping-pong tables and say, wow, what great culture, but it's a lot more than that. We all hold each other accountable to do great work and value each other's contributions to provide the best products in our industry.

INTERESTS 🏃🏼‍♀️
Having three teenagers and two dogs keeps my husband and me pretty busy with sports and other activities. When we're not spending time together as a family, we spend time with friends and neighbors and enjoy checking out new restaurant spots. I also stay active by lifting and jogging. Currently I am running in one 5k race per month through 2026.

TRAVEL ✈️
I would take my family to Europe. My kids are at great ages to understand the history and appreciate the culture and food.

TIME WITH SCHIER 🗓️
13 years as a Schier employee - 20 if you count the time I spent working with Schier at my previous employer.

MY ROLE 💼
I love that I get to wear a lot of hats: graphic designer, illustrator, developer/coder. At any time I could be doing technical writing and illustrations for an installation guide, developing the complex formula interactions that power our software, front-end website coding, or even researching and setting up integrations for new services. It can be challenging to switch gears, but the variety does help keep my mind engaged. Ultimately, I love making things and making them well.

We're not afraid to challenge our thinking and try new things to continuously improve.

INTERESTS 🎸⛺️ ⛳️
Sci-Fi/Fantasy books and movies. I play electric bass guitar (currently in an Offspring tribute band) - I prefer playing rock, metal, punk - but I'm not against playing anything; it's all music. Camping/hiking/traveling. Golfing and bowling. RPG-style video games. Weird board games - my wife and I have a pretty robust collection.

TRAVEL 🌊
I'd like to take my wife to Iguazú Falls (Argentina/Brazil) - that place has always struck me as something that should be seen in person.

FUN FACT 😎
I have never gotten, nor do I plan on getting, a tattoo... but I have given one!
