Plaster and Lathe in old houses can be really tricky to do repairs on due to differences in plaster thickness, and getting framing in the proper places. All this means is more wall prep, and more mud.

This week in problems solved ✅

1) 4x4 ceiling drywall repair
A roof leak caused ceiling damage through the old plaster and lathe. After the roof was repaired, the area needed to be stripped down to the lathe, dry walled, taped, and mudded. Client wanted to take care of the priming and painting!

2) Toilet leak into basement
OSB under the laminate floor was uneven after several wet to dry periods from a leaky toilet, making the toilet even leakier from an uncompressed wax ring. Toilet was removed, laminate floor pulled back, old wet OSB was removed until solid floor was hit, area was dried, and new laminate was installed. Toilet now compresses the wax ring, allowing for leak-free flushing after testing.
