Most people don’t know but there’s a huge Salt Shortage going on! The extreme winter weather around the country and early start has depleted supply!!! Cities and towns take priority over private industry so the cities are fine but has cut off contracts to private businesses country wide.
Yes this is not a local problem it’s pretty much country wide. We literally had supply that was ordered stopped to meet the cities needs.

Price has more than doubled if you can find it. Guys are trucking salt from out west at ungodly rates

It’s not being talked about very much but it’s a big issue. More for some than others

Looking for Operators for upcoming winter season. Loader operator & or Salt Truck driver. Salt truck driver would be great job for some one retired basically come in take truck and do route as accounts are plowed and drop salt in lanes. No physical lifting of any kind and a few hours of work!
Also looking for someone to help with sidewalk crew running a snow Rator. Does require some shoveling but most work is done with rators. Pay varies from $20-30hr depending on position. Looking for Seasonal Help for the Upcoming Winter Season. Skid Steer Operator, Plow Truck Operator, Salt Truck Operator Sidewalk Crews.

This is an ideal job for retired person or Individuals with flexible schedules. It is an on-call job as needed with weather conditions. We typically do most of our plowing and cleanup work overnight though.

Pay will vary depending on Experience and position Range is $22-$30 hour.
