As a member of the Shelby City Parks Parks & Recreation Board, Allen has been a strong supporter of the Dotty Leatherwood Botanical Gardens from the very beginning.

The partnership between Parks & Recreation and the DLBG has been invaluable, and without their help and support, the gardens simply would not be where they are today!
