We were proud to finish out 2025 with this hardscape project located in the alley behind Bell Buckle Square. The goal was to give the space a much-needed facelift while maintaining a surface that is smooth, durable, and fully accessible for foot traffic and wheelchair use.

To stay true to Bell Buckle’s historic, old-time character, we installed a three-piece random paver pattern to define the borders and paired it with an aggregate surface set in resin. This approach provides a clean, attractive finish while keeping the surface stable and smooth.

The final result blends character, functionality, and accessibility—and we believe the objective was accomplished beautifully.

Question/Answer time. If you have a question, post them in the comments and we might feature your question in a post as well.

We have been asked several times about the stripes in the Celebration Center ring. How do we achieve them, and particularly why they show up in the daytime, but not as well under the lights.

First we will explain what makes stripes, and that will lead to the answer of the second question.
Stripes are basically shadows. They are created in the process of mowing, or in the case of the center ring, they are created by a grooming roller.
When the grass is rolled, it lays down in the direction of travel. The next pass is made in the opposite direction. When you are looking in the direction of travel, you see the broad side of the grass blades that apears light because the light is reflected in the direction of the viewer. Next to it you see the opposing stripe, you are viewing the blade tips or the shadow of the grass because the light is not reflected in the viewers direction, and that appears dark.

So why do the stripes diminish under the lights?
Well, in the case of the center ring, the light is coming from 6 directions. The goal of the light placement is to prevent shadows. Today's LED stadium lights are extremely efficient at doing just that. Therfore, no shadow means less visible stripes. They are there, and are very visible under natural light. It is the lighting at night that hides them.

Here at NuView Lawn Pros we use a mulch blower when mulching. It helps provide a very nice smooth surface of mulch for your landscape beds that can be hard to mimic if you're spreading it by hand. It's very efficient! For example, if your landscape normally takes 10 cubic yards of mulch, it might just take 8 or 9 yards using this machine. It also saves a lot of time! Therefore, no job is too big! If you want to professionally freshen up your landscape beds for the spring and don't want to deal with the hassle of trucks, trailers, pitchforks, wheelbarrows, and rakes, consider giving us a call at 615-890-3755. You'll be glad you did when you see how much better your landscape can look!

Customer was having issues with dirt and mulch washing down on to their HVAC units because of the steep grade! It was causing issues with heating and cooling. We solved this issue by building this retaining wall for them! I think it turned out great!
