Some progress on an irrigation headgate repair we’ve been working on!

After removing the deteriorated structure, we dug everything out, prepped and compacted the area around the ditch, then set the concrete blocks for the new headgate. Getting everything properly placed and secured before the water flows again.

More to come as we get this one wrapped up!

Remember those big culverts we hauled in awhile back? Here’s where they ended up!

We installed two 6’ by 20’ culverts to create a new creek crossing, hauling and placing fill, shaping the approaches, and adding boulders around the culvert ends for erosion protection.

The finished crossing provides access across the creek for haying and other equipment without disrupting the creek flow.

This one came together nicely.

Prepped for some additional concrete around the existing pad, cut in a new driveway to connect with the drive behind the house, installed a culvert, and finished it out with some road base and compaction.

Back at a familiar jobsite for a little more work.

We returned to the lake property to build a small retaining wall and prep for an a/c pad, along with some additional grading and prep work around the house.

Another change of scenery. 🏔️

We spent some time up in the Bighorns repairing a dam that was washing out. Dug out the damaged area, rebuilt and compacted the structure, then put the rock back in place.

Definitely can’t complain about the scenery on jobs like this!

Different kind of audience on the mountain too. Had a bear visit camp one night and check in on us.

Six weeks, several thousand feet of waterline, underground storage tanks, and some road work… this ranch project is complete.

We finished by widening an access road and improving a few crossings so stock trailers can reach the back of the property, making day to day ranch work more efficient.

A sincere thank you to the ranch owners for trusting Crossroads Dirt Work with this project. We truly appreciate the opportunity and enjoyed being a part of it.
