Unbeknownst to many, but not a secret to some, Water Hyacinth has succeeded in infiltrating public and private waters in southern Arkansas, with few plants being spotted in central Arkansas along the Arkansas River, presumably carried upriver by commercial vessels operating on the Mississippi and Arkansas river systems.
With duck season fast approaching, and the warm weather lingering, effectively extending this years growing season for many forms of vegetation, Aquatic Solutions would like to remind everyone to clean, drain, dry, and visually inspect boats and trailers for nuisance aquatic plants and other species before traveling to another body of water.
