The 2026 mowing season is officially in full swing. 🌱

If it's been quiet on our page lately, it's because we've been out there keeping things quiet for our customers. We've spent the last several weeks knocking down tall grass, welcoming a wave of new customers, and getting our returning clients dialed in for another season.

To everyone who's already on the schedule, new and returning, thank you. We don't take it lightly that you trust us with your lawn.

A few things worth sharing as we settle into the season:
✅ Every property is mowed with 100% battery-powered EGO equipment, 10× quieter than traditional mowers
✅ Clean lines, sharp edges, and a yard that actually looks finished when we leave
✅ Professional, reliable service from a local team based right here in Thomas Township

A quick heads-up: We have a small handful of recurring mowing spots left for 2026 before we close the books on new accounts for the season. Once the route is full, it's full; we'd rather take care of our current customers exceptionally than spread thin.

If you've been on the fence, now's the time.

Fun Fact Friday 🔊

A typical lawn mower runs at about 95 decibels. That's louder than city traffic, a food blender, and right at the level where sustained exposure can cause hearing loss.

Our EGO electric equipment? About 75 decibels. That's closer to a normal conversation.

Here's some perspective on what that difference actually means:
🔹 75 dB = normal conversation, your TV, a vacuum cleaner
🔹 95 dB = a traditional mower, a motorcycle, a food processor at full blast
🔹 Every 10 dB increase is roughly TWICE as loud to the human ear
🔹 That means a gas mower doesn't just sound "a little louder", it sounds approximately 4× louder than our equipment
🔹 Sustained exposure above 85 dB can cause permanent hearing loss; traditional mowers blow past that. Our equipment stays under it.

That's why our crews don't need hearing protection on the job. And that's why your neighbors won't even know we're there.

10× quieter. Premium results. Zero hassle.

Nothing beats hearing it straight from a customer.
Thank you, Steve! 🙏

Bush trimming is one of those jobs that makes an instant difference in your curb appeal. Overgrown bushes make even a well-mowed lawn look neglected, but a clean trim pulls the whole property together.

If your bushes are starting to look a little wild after winter, now's a great time to get them shaped up before everything starts growing in. We'll get them looking sharp and keep your property looking its best.

We've been getting a LOT of calls about dethatching lately, so let's talk about it. 👇

Thatch is that layer of dead grass, roots, and organic debris that builds up between your soil and your green grass blades. A thin layer (under half an inch) is actually good for your lawn, it helps retain moisture and insulates against temperature swings.

But when that layer gets too thick? It becomes a problem. It blocks water, air, and nutrients from reaching your roots. Your lawn starts to feel spongy underfoot, you'll notice patchy spots, and water starts running off instead of soaking in.

Here's what dethatching does for your lawn:
🔹 Opens the door for water, air, and fertilizer to actually reach the soil
🔹 Promotes deeper, stronger root growth
🔹 Reduces the risk of disease and pest problems
🔹 Prepares your lawn for overseeding and spring treatments
🔹 Makes your lawn look and feel healthier

Here in Michigan, our cool-season grasses (especially Kentucky bluegrass) build thatch faster than most. The spring dethatching window is mid-April through the end of April, which means NOW is the time to get on the schedule before that window closes.

Not sure if your lawn needs it? Here's a quick test: cut a small wedge out of your turf and measure the brown layer between the soil and the green blades. If it's more than half an inch thick, it's time.

We're booking dethatching jobs now. Spots are limited since the window is short.
