Got to see the legendary “Black Pearl” today while on vacation in the Outer Banks. Any house that has withstood being battered by the ocean for this long without falling in (like the rest of the neighboring ones) is worth taking notes from. The ocean will claim it one of these days, but not today.

Pretty crazy backstory: the homeowner told us these washed away during Hurricane Sandy and floated across the lagoon. They were then pulled back and reinstalled - lasting another 10 years.
