🍂Fall is hands down one of the best times of year to install trees, shrubs, and perennials.

But here’s something many homeowners don’t realize…

By the time fall arrives, many landscape companies already have their schedules filled. Waiting until September or October can mean pushing your project into next spring.

Now is the perfect time to:
✅ Design your landscape
✅ Choose the right plants
✅ Reserve your installation date

If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your landscaping this year, let’s start the conversation now so everything is ready when planting season arrives.

10 facts about Spotted Lanternfly:

1. They are an invasive species of planthopper from Asia

2. First detected in Berks County, PA in 2014

3. Their preferred host plant, or the plant they are attracted to the most is the Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima) which is also invasive

4. They can be quite destructive to highly sensitive plants like grapes and other agricultural crops, but are otherwise just a nuisance

5. They are also attracted to Maple Trees, largely due to the sap

6. Best population control methods include the removal of egg sacks around October, and spraying nymphs and adults with horticultural oils or surfactant solutions in the spring/summer

7. Their excrement can lead to fungal issues on plants due to its high sugar content

8. Several local animals are now natural predators of Spotted Lanternfly including Praying Mantis and other insects, several species of bird, and spiders

9. Their colors act as both camouflage, and a warning signal to would-be predators. Their brown wings allow them to blend into the bark of trees.

10. The bright red under their wings is a warning that they may be toxic if eaten. Fortunately for our pets, they are harmless if eaten.

Poolside river rock boarder with solid edging 👌🏼

The edging will provide a nice barrier between the new stone, and the existing lawn, making for a low-maintenance outdoor space that will be an enjoyed for many years.

Every step of this install was completed with purpose, and with the mindset that this space needs to be both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

I want to thank these wonderful clients for entrusting Corey Alan Landscapes with this project!

Nepeta (Catmint) is one of my go to sun loving perennials for a pop of color.

The fragrant, silvery blue foliage last from early spring to late fall and provides excellent contrast for your landscape. Late spring blue or purple blooms persist well through summer.

This tough perennial is a must have!

Cat's Meow Nepeta is a petite and sweet perennial that can fill in around your mailbox area, or cover an open spot in your landscape! Best in full sun, and hardy in zones 3-8. Learn more, or purchase online right here... pwwin.rs/CMeow26
