Got Leaks received a call about a chimney flashing. Upon inspection this is what we found. As you can see in the first picture it is a piece of tin covered in tar and that is the extent of our competitors skills lol. So as you can see we removed everything down to the plywood deck and installed new ice & water shield , shingles to match existing as well as new step flashing and apron flashing. We then cut a groove into the chimney ans installed a lead counter flashing (shimmed and caulked) for a water tight seal. If you haven't noticed we never used any tar the only tar you see is the old tar above the lead that would not come off.

Got Leaks had a roof to do. As you can see in the photos below we ripped and replaced this customers roof . We use the GAF roofing system which includes Ice & Water shield in the valleys and gutter perimeters , Deck amour over the existing plywood , GAF Lifetime shingles. We cut in a ridge vent and cap. We give a 10 year warranty on all labor and a lifetime warranty on all materials. Most roofs completed in one day

Got Leaks Had two skylights to replace. As you can see the skylights in the first picture are very old (only an Acrylic shell).Both skylights were leaking. As you can see in the 1st and 2nd pictures we removed the old skylights and the amazing amount of tar that was used . We then installed ice & water shield then the new skylights as well as another layer of ice & water shield. We then weaved in new shingles around the skylights as seen in the 4th and 5th picture. Now the homeowners have new water tight skylights With a new pipe collar to finish off the job

Sometimes Got Leaks get an easy repair . This one just happened to be a few shingles missing. What happens is our competitors nail way to high on the shingle and the wind gets underneath it and blows the shingle off. This is why the manufacture gives us a nailing line to go by All you have to do is follow the line and you will not have this problem. Well thanks again for the work (lol)

Got Leaks had a repair to do at this house. As you can see we removed the shingles from the valley area as well as the upper 2ft x 8ft at the top of the valley. As you can see in the first and second picture one of our competitors left gaps in the tar paper as well as not installing any tar paper near the top. Why our competitors think roofing shingles are water proof is beyond me. If they were water proof there would be no need for tar paper, Deck Amour, or ice and water shield (picture 3) These materials are the actual water proof part of the entire roofing system. The roofing shingles are weather and water repellent. Together the entire system if done correctly will give you the water tight roof your looking for. (picture 4) Another satisfied customer.

Today Got Leaks had a few skylights to fix. As you can see in the first pictures after we removed all the shingles and the old skylights they were set in a lot tar (TAR IS NO GOOD) Now after cleaning up that mess we then installed ice and water shield over the plywood and under the existing tar paper. We then installed the new skylights with yet another layer of ice and water shield (picture two). We then installed the new roofing to match the existing shingles. As you noticed we never said anything about using tar because if you know how to roof there is no need for tar on a skylight install.

Got Leaks went and looked at a roof for a homeowner that couldnt understand why his roof was leaking. This is what we found when we inspected their roof (first two pictures). It really amazes us how or competitors can charge a customer to install a roof and just destroy it with a bad install. Now most people who have no idea or clue how to roof can just look at these pictures and no that it is not correct. Yet or competitor actually looked at their work and decided that it was good to go. We just do not understand the logic behind the thinking. Either way the seems should be stepped and the horizontal lines should be straight as per manufactures specs. The third picture is what you should see in a small area like that (NO SEEMS) because they should be stepped. Now this homeowner need not worry about a roof leak again

Got Leaks had an estimate to do at this house and this is what we found.As you can see in the picture below one of our competitors attempt at roofing a valley (lol). They cut the shingles to meet in the middle of the valley . This is not the way it is done. One side of the valley should overlap the center of the valley by a minimum of a foot. The other side should then be overlapped over that side then cut back to make a nice straight line in the middle of the valley. Again to all of you who do work like this we thank you Without you there would be no need for us.

This customer of Got Leaks? Had a leak in the bedroom. When we went up on the roof this is what we found (See picture below) It is a pipe collar that rotted as well as it looks like a raccoon tried getting in. We removed the broken shingles around the pipe collar as well as the pipe collar. We then installed a new pipe collar , installed ice & water shield over the top of the new flang and under the existing tar paper. Finally we installed new shingles to match existing.
