We love pruning and caring for trees, but when one needs to come down we put them down, process the brush and firewood, treat the stump with herbicide, and leave a clean yard behind us when we go.

Before and after pruning large dead out of a mighty old willow tree. This is an example of hazard pruning, where the focus is removing potentially life and property threatening dead, decayed, and obviously weak branches. This can reduce liability and improve peace of mind, and it’s often more affordable than finer pruning which requires a lot more labor to remove the smaller dead wood.
