We are looking for a Grounds Equipment Operator to operate lawn care equipment, company vehicles, and provide quality lawn care services. This role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, provide quality customer service, ensure high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety.

Responsibilities

Attends unit meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc. for the purpose of gathering information required to perform job functions.
Cleans landscaped areas and related items (e.g. french drains, fields, litter, etc.) for the purpose of preventing flooding and removing hazards.
Hauls a variety of items (e.g. trash, debris, aggregates, etc.) for the purpose of removing unwanted items from facilities in compliance with established guidelines.
Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.
Operates a variety of grounds maintenance equipment (e.g. riding mowers, push mowers, dump trailer, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining grounds.
Performs a variety of other grounds maintenance duties (e.g. minor sprinkler repair, mowing, edging, trimming, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring objectives are achieved.
Prepares grounds (e.g. fertilizing, etc.) for the purpose of providing adequate, attractive and safe areas for assemblies, recreational activities.
Prepares written materials (e.g. supply requisitions, safety inspections, inventory records, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or providing written reference.
Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of assisting in resolving immediate safety concerns. Transports mowers and other heavy equipment to and from work sites for the purpose of ensuring their availability for use in completing work assignments.
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Assist with landscape duties and other duties as assigned.
