🚨 RECENT LAW CHANGE IN LOUISIANA 🚨
This is in no way meant to discredit anyone at all. Our only intention to inform contractors and home/business owners of a recent law change that greatly affects our industry and potential customers.
As of August 31st, 2025, a Residential Roofing license or a Residential Construction (General Contractor) license is REQUIRED to perform roof replacements in Louisiana. Asking your contractor to see their license shouldn’t be a problem and could save money and heartache down the road. After calling the LSLBC, we learned that simply having someone associated with the company that has a license will not suffice. They must have ownership in the company or be a W2 employee, according to a LSLBC employee.
If insurance or the state finds out, it could cause problems for the contractor and the home or business owner.
We have all licenses required by the state to perform any and all roofing and construction projects with no monetary cap for residential or commercial properties. These licenses hold us to a higher standard of insurance liability coverage and worker’s compensation. Also, courses and exams in business and law are required. You can also verify licensure by visiting the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors website at lslbc.gov

🚨 Checking out the Town Hall for Oil City this morning! 🚨
When we inspected the roof system, we are happy to report that we found no hail damage! No, we didn’t make up some story about how it needs replacing anyway. FAIR and HONEST roof assessment. Only a few small repairs for them and they should be good to go for quite some time!
