🌞 Why We Don’t Seal New Wood Right Away 🌞

One of the most common questions we get after building a new deck, dock, ramp, or wood structure is:

“Can you seal it now?”

The answer is usually no—and that’s actually a good thing.

Fresh pressure-treated lumber contains moisture from the treatment process and needs time to properly dry and stabilize. That’s why we recommend waiting at least 30 days before applying a sealer or stain.
