Making custom outdoor tables today… first two in first pic turned into 2” tabletop cookies for later use. The other 6 will be planed and sanded on one side and burned on the underside for a nice set of 6 poolside natural tables. These are all red oak logs from the same tree and, man, are they heavy!! 20-23” diameter and 19” tall.

Curious if anyone would be interested in hollow red oak logs for planters. Nearly half the main trunk of this beauty that came down last spring ended up being hollow. These logs should last for years as natural planters.

I have 14 of the large logs, ranging from about 20-24” tall and about 22-25” diameter. Most have the hollow all the way through and centered. I was thinking $40 each with a discount for multiples. I’ll be flattening both sides of the cuts when I bring em out of the woods so they’ll sit level and have flat tops.

There are also 4 smaller ones at about 16” tall and 12” in diameter. I was thinking $25 for these and will make sure they’re flat, as well.

Picked up some beautiful red oak from a tree that came down last fall. Have another load to grab tomorrow. We’ll get this split and drying for next winter, and may even cut some tabletop cookies from some of the bigger pieces… Thanks Brandon and Gary Miller!

Delivering some firewood to court 7 this morning. This is our campers mix. A 50/50 by bucket load mix of split logs and smaller rounds. Great for starting and keeping the fire going. This load is 90% oak (red and white) with some ash and locust mixed in.

I also have about 1/2 a face cord of hickory split if anyone’s looking for smoking wood.

Got some sawin done in the last two days. Not nearly as much as i wanted, but dad life comes first. Lol.

Did some 1/2” red oak with massive ant damage. This stuff has some amazing color… probably clean some up and just frame it. Lol.

Also did a couple maple logs; did one all live edge then cut myself some carving boards from the second. 3/4“thick and nearly 8” wide each.

Also slated up an ugly chunk of hickory. Tons of rot and spalting and color. Would need to be stabilized, but would make great small tables or bar tops.

Also did a cherry Id been wanting to slab up for a while. Got several 3/4 boards for carving or charcuterie boards as well as 5- 2” thick beautiful live edge slabs.

Got some more black walnut listed on eBay, more coming later tonight. combination of thin (1/2”) and thicker (1 1/4”) live edge boards.

Gonna try and slab up that big cherry log tomorrow. It’s about 9’ long and 21” at the butt end (crotch is trimmed to 23”); but has a crack in the base. Hoping that only runs up a foot or so… I’ll do some video, I think, of a few of the cuts tomorrow. Maybe go live… we’ll see how the day goes!
