Several years ago I had a couple friends from Sierra Vista reach out to me about their experiences with some of the local pest control companies. At the time, I had never even been to Sierra Vista, but it got me thinking…
Why can’t Hydra Pest Control expand there and bring the same level of service we’ve worked so hard to build in the Gila Valley?
Fast forward to today, and seeing this picture is pretty humbling. When we opened our Sierra Vista branch in February of 2025, this is exactly what I hoped we’d build. Not just another branch, but a great team of people.
We’ve now grown to six full-time Service Pros, and the door-to-door reps from both last summer and this summer have played a huge role in making that happen. They spent months knocking doors in the Arizona heat, working long days, hearing “no” more times than most people could handle, and believing in what we’re building.
But just as much credit goes to our Service Pros. Every single week they’re out there in that same Arizona heat putting in long hours, taking care of customers, solving problems, and making sure every service lives up to the promises we made. Without them, none of this growth would be possible.
What I’m most proud of isn’t the growth. It’s the people.
Getting everyone together for dinner recently reminded me why we do what we do. It was pretty humbling looking around the table and seeing so many hardworking people, along with their spouses and families, who have all played a part in getting us where we are today.
Some of these people will spend years with Hydra. Others may move on to do bigger things. Either way, I hope everyone who works here leaves better than when they started. If we can help someone provide for their family, grow in confidence, build new skills, and become a better leader, then we’ve done more than just build a pest control company.
