With the freezing weather coming in Sunday and Monday mornings, make sure you cover any exposed water pipes and that you drip water from your facuets. St Paul WSC should be in good shape. We will cover the pipes at the water plant and add heaters under that. We do have a generator, so if we lose power, we will use the generator.

I also want to bring to your attention, that the meter reader and his wife have both been biten by dogs last month and today while reading the meters. This is unacceptable. I told her today, that if she has any concerns about any dog while reading the meters today, to not read that meter.

STAY WARM EVERYBODY!

We are going to have to turn off the water for a little while so the guys can fix a water leak.

FYI. Trash pick up next Wednesday will be the same as usual, even though it is Christmas Eve. So don’t forget to leave your trash cans out. Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The new year will be bringing a new water tower and 3 generators for our 2 plants and lift station. We don’t have a date yet, but it is getting closer to happening. 👏🏻

The guys are on their way to see why we don’t have water. Hopefully it will be back on soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We apologize for the outage that we had early this morning. We had an electrical outage at the water plant. The contractor has finished their work on the tank, repairing the leak. They worked for 3 1/2 days on it. We have one more thing to do and that is to replace a valve. That will be done this morning and they may have to turn the water off for a few minutes to do it. Once they finish that, they will start flushing hydrants and valves

We are getting a new water tower from a grant. But as with anything else, it takes time. Right now, an Engineer is working on the design of the tank. We hope to have it by the end of the year, but we aren’t sure if that will happen. We have not been given a time frame on any of this.

Again, thank you for your patience!

The guys are working on a valve at the water plant. In doing so, we will be without water for half an hour to an hour Please share and help us spread the word. Again, thank you for your patience.

We have a contractor that will be doing some maintenance work at the water tower tomorrow. We may be out of water for a short time around 8:00 AM, maybe 15-20 minutes. Please be patient with us. Thank you!

The guys are working on a water leak this afternoon. Unfortunately they will have to shut the water off for a large portion of St Paul. They estimate that it will be off
from about 1:00 to 1:30. Thank you for your patience.

A contractor hit a waterline on CR 2381. If you do not have water, that is why. We are working on getting it repaired. I don’t have a time frame on that.

I have had a couple of phone calls asking if our trash will be picked up tomorrow. The answer is yes. I did receive an email from Republican Services yesterday stating that they will have a late start this morning. That might delay them coming to St Paul until after lunch if they weren’t able to finish their route on Tuesday.

Stay warm and remember to leave a faucet dripping tonight into tomorrow morning. It looks like we could start freezing as 6:00pm today and last through 9:00 am tomorrow.

01/21/2025

EDIT: Everyone should have water again. Just as he got the generator started, the electricity came back on. Pray we don’t have any problems tonight. Mother Nature doesn’t play nice sometimes.

We don’t have any water because the electricity is off at the water plant. Evidently half of St Paul doesn’t have electricity. We are going to try to get the generator going, so hopefully we will have water soon.

We are doing everything possible to prepare for the upcoming freeze. Heavy canvas is over the pipes with 2 heaters underneath and pipes wrapped with heat wraps. Make sure you leave a faucet dripping during the hours that it is below freezing.
