From charred and black to brand new. This is fire restoration start to finish. 🔴

This bedroom was gutted by a fire — walls and ceiling blackened with soot, a corner burned clean through to the framing, floor buried in ash, a window cracked from the heat, the closet door warped and burned. It's the kind of room that looks like a total loss.

It wasn't.

Soot and ash cleaned off every surface, charred drywall and framing torn out, the structure treated and sealed to kill the smoke odor, then rebuilt from the framing out — new drywall, flooring, window, closet door, paint, trim.

Here's what most people don't know about fire damage: the smoke and soot odor is the hard part, not the char. If it isn't sealed at the framing before the rebuild, the smell comes back through the new drywall months later. Done right, there's zero trace it ever happened.

When's the last time you pulled your washer out and looked behind it? 🔴

Probably never. That's where this hid.

A corroded supply line had been dripping down the wall for who knows how long — stain climbing two feet up the drywall, black mold across the bottom, baseboard swollen off the wall, vinyl floor curling up. Pressed a knuckle into the drywall and it went in like a sponge.

We closed the valve, swapped in a new braided line, cut out the moldy drywall and floor, treated everything, and rebuilt it with moisture-resistant material. Watch it come back together at second 4.

The washer never moves — so a slow drip behind it runs for months before anyone notices.

That basement smell? It's not "just what basements do." It's mold telling on itself. 🔴

Here's the one habit that prevents more mold than anything we do: keep your home's humidity under 50% and mold struggles to start. Over 60% and it thrives. In August, most basements sit around 70% —and people just live with the smell.

Grab a cheap humidity gauge, set it in the lowest room in your house, and actually look at it. If it's running over 60, run a dehumidifier and empty it daily.

That's it. That's the whole trick. Cheaper than a single mold call.
