🌾 Featured Grower Spotlight 🌾
We’re proud to recognize Matt and Andrea as one of our featured grower families! What started as an interest in agriculture for Matt eventually grew into a full-time career built around faith, family, and raising quality pork.
After moving to the farm in 2013 and building their first barn with Schwartz Farms in 2014, Matt made the transition from the electrical industry to pig farming full time just two years later. Today, their operation is truly a family effort, with all five kids helping in different ways around the farm.
For Matt, one of the most rewarding parts of the job is providing a quality source of protein while building a life where family comes first. Whether it’s chores in the barn, cheering on their kids at sporting events, or spending time outdoors together, farming has allowed them to create the life they envisioned.
“I am very appreciative of what Schwartz Farms has done in creating an opportunity for my family and I to get into agriculture,” Matt says. “Schwartz employees are good people to work with.”
