It's that time of year to prep your yard for next year! The best defense against weeds, crab grass, and bare spots is a good strong turf. This is the best time of year to aerate and get those nutrients and oxygen to the roots of your turf and to overseed, allowing for new grass to grow and thicken your lawn. How important is watering your grass💦?!

We are hitting the time of year where the sun and heat are really starting to cause heat stress. In my last post I talked about fungus and it being the by product of so much rain this year. Even though we have had a lot of moisture, grass doesn’t store up water like a cactus.

So…how much and when should you water?

Consistency is going to help the grass and your wallet💵. Just 15-20 min every day or every other day, per area of your yard, will help you keep from fighting the uphill battle of summer heat stress. Watering in the early morning between 5-6am will also allow your grass to absorb that water before the heat of the day.
