Kenai National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center!
Phase Two

After successfully completing the wood restoration project, we were invited back to take on the next phase — a complete restoration of the building’s painted steel.

With peeling coatings, rust showing through, and years of exposure to Alaska’s elements, this project required extensive surface preparation before any new coatings could be applied.

Once properly prepped, all steel surfaces were primed with Sherwin-Williams Pro Industrial Pro-Cryl® Primer, followed by Pro Industrial Enamel for a tough, durable, long-lasting finish designed to stand up to the elements.

Another major restoration project completed and another opportunity we’re proud to have been trusted with.

Kenai National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center

We had the privilege of partnering with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on the restoration of the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center.

This project involved carefully stripping and restoring the building’s architectural cedar, followed by the application of a new protective stain system designed to enhance and preserve the natural beauty of the wood. The result is a renewed appearance that brings the warmth and character of this iconic facility back to life while helping protect it for years to come.

We take great pride in contributing to the preservation of a landmark that welcomes visitors from around the world and showcases the natural heritage of Alaska.

We’re excited to welcome a new addition to our fleet of aerial lifts—the Genie Z34/22 IC, and likely the only one of its kind on the Kenai Peninsula.

Its smaller footprint and lighter weight allow it to be transported during early-season weight restrictions, helping us stay productive when larger equipment may not be an option. When paired with our poly ground protection mats, this machine gives us the ability to safely access commercial buildings, taller homes, and tight work areas while minimizing impact to lawns, landscaping, and surrounding property.

With a working height of 40 feet, the Z34/22 IC fills an important gap in our fleet. As there are many situations where our Genie Z45/25J is simply too large or too heavy to access a job effectively, where ladders or scaffolding are not the safest or most practical solution.

With Alaska’s short construction season, safety, efficiency, and the right equipment is a critical component to delivering quality results. This addition allows us to better serve our customers by reaching otherwise difficult heights, completing your projects more efficiently, while maintaining the highest standards our clients expect from us here at Pro Finish Painting Inc.⁠
