🧱 MONSTER DOUBLE-TIER RETAINING WALL PROJECT!
This project is a perfect example of why we’re the right choice for your next outdoor transformation. As a true one-stop shop, we handle every aspect of a project from start to finish—and this may be our favorite transformation to date.
Located in Rocky Point, this property presented several major challenges. We were brought in to replace a failing timber retaining wall and create a safer, more functional, and more usable outdoor space for the homeowners. That’s exactly what we delivered.
This property had no shortage of obstacles: failing retaining walls, collapsing cesspools with improperly installed plumbing, severe erosion and land movement, deteriorating fencing, and extensive tree work. Our customers chose us because we could manage every aspect of the project under one roof, eliminating the need to coordinate multiple contractors. From demolition to final completion, this entire project was completed in just under one month.
🚧 DEMOLITION & CESSPOOL WORK
We began by fully demolishing and removing the existing timber retaining walls. Once the site was cleared, we carefully cut and created a safe access roadway into the hillside, allowing to install all new cesspools, overflow systems, and plumbing infrastructure for the home.
Once the cesspool work was completed, it was time to begin the transformation.
🧱 REDI-ROCK RETAINING WALLS
The property was fully cleared and graded in preparation for construction. We installed a 4-foot-wide by 16-inch-deep compacted gravel foundation to support the lower retaining wall system.
Using REDI-ROCK, one of the strongest and most durable retaining wall products available, we constructed two massive retaining wall tiers. Each wall measured approximately 3.5 to 4 feet in height and between 85 and 100 feet in length.
Both walls were fully backfilled with drainage stone and equipped with perforated drainage piping to effectively relieve hydrostatic pressure and ensure long-term structural stability.
🌱 TOPSOIL • IRRIGATION • SOD
Once the retaining walls were complete, we regraded the entire property to establish proper elevations and drainage.
We then supplied and installed over 100 yards of premium topsoil and 40 yards of clean fill throughout the site.
Before any sod was installed, we designed and installed a brand-new smart irrigation system that provides complete coverage across the entire property, ensuring the new lawn and plantings receive optimal watering conditions.
The project was then finish-graded and prepared for the installation of approximately 4,200 square feet of premium Bluegrass sod.
🚪 FENCING
To complete the transformation, we installed new 6-foot-tall PVC privacy fencing around the perimeter of the property, along with three access gates. The fencing not only enhances privacy and security but also serves as the perfect finishing touch to tie the entire project together.
There are few things more rewarding than transforming a space that was unsafe, unusable, and unsightly into something beautiful, functional, and built to last.
