MOUNT SINAI HYDROSEED PROJECT!! 💦🌱

Another full lawn transformation completed in Mount Sinai!

This homeowner’s backyard was completely overrun with w**ds, unwanted grass and sandy, unhealthy soil. The customer wanted a fresh start — and that’s exactly what we delivered.

We began by completely tearing out the existing lawn and conditioning the property using our Harley Rake attachment. This process allowed us to rip out old debris, break up compacted soil, and properly prepare the surface for a brand-new lawn installation.

Once the area was cleaned and graded, we supplied and installed over 30 yards of fresh organic topsoil, blending everything together to create the perfect growing foundation. We also installed (3) new sprinkler zones to ensure proper irrigation and long-term lawn health.

To finish the project, the entire backyard was professionally hydroseeded, creating the foundation for a thick, healthy, vibrant green lawn that establishes significantly faster than traditional seeding while greatly reducing patchy growth and w**d invasion.

FULL PROPERTY CLEAR-OUT & REGRADE 🌿🚜

This recent project in Wading River was all about transforming an overgrown, unusable backyard into a clean, open, and functional space.

Our team started by selectively cutting and removing all designated trees, followed by hauling away hundreds of yards of brush and debris that had built up over time.

Next, we took it a step further—rather than grinding stumps (which can leave you with an uneven, unstable finish), we fully excavated and removed 25 oversized stumps. This approach ensures a solid foundation and allows for a truly professional, long-lasting grade.

Once the site was completely cleared, we reconditioned the existing soil and incorporated 50 yards of fresh topsoil, carefully blending and grading the entire area to create a level, nutrient-rich surface. The property is now perfectly prepped and ready for hydroseeding in the coming weeks.

CLEARING PROJECT – CENTER MORICHES 🪵🪾

On this recent project in Center Moriches, our team completed a full backyard cleanout for a property that had been neglected for over 15 years.

We successfully removed over 100 cubic yards of rotten wood, garbage, brush, and miscellaneous debris, all hauled off-site and properly disposed of.

Following the clearing process, we fully regraded the entire area, leaving behind a clean, level slate ready for whatever comes next.

Another successful project completed and another satisfied property owner!

BACKYARD MAKEOVER!!🧱🚨

Check out our most recent project we just completed in Sound Beach! Our client had a old slate raised patio that didn’t offer much to the homeowners, walls were beginning to fall and water issues were becoming an issue so we needed to address it.

We began by fully demoing and excavating the entirety of the area down to base grade, we backfilled and compacted with 12” of RCA and began building the wall, the wall is Nicolock’s Alta Pro Granite City Block. By building the wall we were able to gain much more functional space and give the back patio area a much broader look.

After the wall was finished we installed 250sqft of Nicolock’s Granite City XL pavers inbetween the walls, now instead of having a step up to a patio they have a step down right outside their back door, much more functional. While also solving a pooling issue of water from the past as now the area is pitched away from the house. Running into a deep bed of 3/8 bluestone rock for proper drainage.

This project came out great and we will be back in the spring to install sod and landscaping around the entire project. No matter what we get it done and have your property looking incredible when we’re finished. Very happy customers yet again!

BIG MIGHTY STUMP REMOVAL!!🪾🌳

MASSIVE RETAINING WALL PROJECT!!⚠️🧱

On our most recent project in Rocky Point, our client had a massive failing wood retaining wall in their backyard. Absolutely crumbling, near full on collapsing into our clients home. They had called us to come in and rectify this issue in the most safest, efficient and strongest way possible. We cut down trees, removed stumps, cleared brush and excavated near 5-600 yards of dirt just to gain access to dig out and remove the existing wood wall to begin laying base for the new structure.

After excavation was complete we prepared base for the new wall construction to begin, the new wall “Redi-Rock” is fully engineered commercial grade concrete wall block with a beautiful textured face. We installed 170 tons of this block in our clients backyard on (2) 12” bases of drainage stone, completely backfilled both walls with 120 tons of drainage stone and drainage solutions within the back of the wall. Ensuring no water issues in the future as they dealt with prior.

Following the completion of the wall construction, we completely regraded the entire property with the remaining fill we’ve had left, filling in empty areas with boulders and even installing a small boulder wall within the hill. Our clients were so under stress with their existing wooden wall practically being a ticking time bomb and this IMMEDIATELY brought them peace of mind and comfort seeing the quality of this material being installed, knowing that the issue they previously had will not happen again.

We gained our customers plenty of new usuable yard space, made their home a lot more safe and all in doing that gave them a beautiful piece of construction in their back yard that will never fade or lose its structural integrity. All in all absolutely thrilled customers. Great job by our team at SSS!!
