Every company has a starting point. Ours was a small civil construction firm in South Amana, Iowa.

In 1973, Glenn Wendler founded Wendler Engineering and Construction on a straightforward set of values: safety, quality, honesty, and family. More than 50 years later, those values still guide every project we take on.

The company has grown and evolved over the decades. More employees. A larger fleet. A more diversified team. Deeper expertise across water and wastewater, high voltage, flood protection, and heavy civil construction. And in 2025, the company proudly reclaimed its original name as a tribute to the founder whose vision started it all.

The name may have changed over the years, but the foundation never has.
