Electrical and plumbing rough-ins are complete! Ready to start insulation and drywall! A helpful tip take the time to take pictures or a video of rough-ins this is extremely helpful incase a electrical box or video boxes gets missed and drywalled over. Is a reference for water and drain lines running thru walls too.

Had a call from a customer asking why there shower and sink had standing water in there shower and sink and if they could be concerned. The answer is no when doing a tile shower with waterproofing membrane you always test for leaks. Plug the shower fill the base up to a 1/2" to 1" below shower curb mark water level in multiple locations let sit two days check if level is still up to marked lines if it dropped then there's a issue with how the waterproofing was done. Same method with sinks and tubs fill up half way to check drain connection to sink also to check drain lines for sinks. Drain leaks are easier to see once water is released all at once.

Pro tip

When grouting tile always use a grout caulk in places where tile meets a surfaces where grout line will crack... places this happens at is a backsplash where grout line meet countertop other places is where tile meets a cabinet or a corner where tile meets each other. Another place is in a shower where the wall tile meets a floor tile. Other places are where a solid surface stone on a shower curb meets tile and wall.
