Bathroom refresh!

We updated the floors and walls of this 1940’s bathroom. We took care of wallpaper removal and getting new tile laid down to brighten the floors.

A little before and after! We took out a portion of this wall to open up the kitchen a little bit for this home 🏠 and put in some new shelving to replace some cabinets we took out.

We do lots of exterior paint scraping! To get the exterior of a home ready for a fresh coat of paint we first scrape off the old paint. Colten was hard at work getting this house ready for a refresh on the outside!

One of William’s first projects (and what inspired him to build his own restoration company) was these windows on his family’s home. As you can see, the wood around them was rotted through and needed replacing. William and his family worked hard to get these back to their original beauty. And the end result is absolutely stunning.

Meet William, the owner and Head Craftsman of Wallace Historic Restorations. William began his journey to being a craftsman in 2019 when his family bought an 1890s home in downtown South Bend. His family has worked hard to restore this beautiful home and William has put in countless hours of work on it. He started Wallace Historic Restorations at the beginning of 2023 with the vision of restoring old homes with functionality while still maintaining their historic beauty. We will be sharing photos of his work on his own family’s home and others soon—so stay tuned!
