Excellence in Construction Spotlight:

Dudeck Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc was recognized for their skillful work re-roofing the historic St. Adalbert Catholic Church in South Bend. The century-old Neo-gothic landmark required careful planning and finesse to navigate its steep pitches and intricate valleys. St. Adalbert also boasts two of the tallest steeples in the city and a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. The "Cathedral of the West Side" also remained operational throughout the restoration process which added an extra layer of consideration and coordination between church staff, the Dudeck team, Kil Architecture & Planning, and fellow MBA member Ziolkowski Construction., who handled simultaneous brick restoration.

Kil Architecture/Planning is excited to have had the opportunity to design the rehabilitation plans for the Havilah Beardsley Discovery Center. This recently completed project was undertaken for the Ruthmere Foundation and expertly constructed by R. Yoder Construction. This 1874 Carriage House, previously damaged by fire, has been meticulously rehabilitated into a state-of-the-art Welcome Center with a larger, fuller museum store, interactive family tree explorer stations, and accessible spaces for visitor orientation and programs. The Welcome Center also provides additional storage and office space for the Ruthmere staff. We are honored to have contributed to this significant project for the Ruthmere Foundation and the City of Elkhart.

We've been hard at work bringing the long abandoned industrial bakery building back to life, and business are beginning to move in. Louisville Tile features here our recently completed bathrooms for the building.
