Please join us in welcoming Paulo Diaz-Enciso to Alliance Architects!

We're excited to welcome Paulo Diaz-Enciso as our newest Architectural Intern.

Paulo is a fourth-year Bachelor of Architecture student at Ball State University, where he is also pursuing a minor in Architectural Digital Design. A dedicated student leader, he has served as President of Ball State's American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) chapter and will continue his leadership as Vice President this academic year.

Outside the studio, Paulo enjoys participating in local theatrical performing arts and studying movie set designs—an interest that reflects his passion for storytelling, creativity, and the spaces that shape our experiences.

We're thrilled to have Paulo join the Alliance team and look forward to supporting his growth as he continues his architectural journey.

We're excited to welcome Madison Fangman as one of our Architectural Interns.

A junior at Texas A&M University, Madison is passionate about commercial, urban, and civic design, with a special interest in biophilic and contemporary architecture. Growing up in a military family and experiencing many different places has shaped her appreciation for how thoughtfully designed spaces influence the way people connect with their communities.

Outside the studio, Madison enjoys inline skating, going on walks, and traveling to new places.

We're thrilled to have Madison join the Alliance team and look forward to supporting her as she continues to develop her skills and passion for design.

✨ Please join us in welcoming Tam Nguyen to Alliance Architects!

We're excited to welcome Tam Nguyen as our new Project Manager in our Texas office!

Tam's design journey began in Australia, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Interior Design before moving to the United States to complete her Master of Architecture. Her professional experience spans multiple architecture firms, with a strong background in multifamily housing and K–12 educational projects.

What drew Tam to Alliance was the opportunity to be part of a collaborative, close-knit firm where she can contribute to a wide variety of project types, architectural styles, and new design challenges. She's eager to continue learning, share her experience, and grow alongside our team.

Outside the office, Tam enjoys exploring new destinations, especially those with breathtaking natural scenery. Whether she's traveling, tackling a hot Pilates class, running, cycling, holding a plank, or working on her golf swing, she brings the same enthusiasm and determination to her hobbies as she does to her work.

We're thrilled to have Tam on board and look forward to the knowledge, creativity, and energy she'll bring to our team.

Project Update | Osteria Amici Site Visit

There's something especially rewarding about watching a project transition from drawings and renderings into a real, tangible space.

Last Thursday, our Alliance Architects team visited the construction site of Osteria Amici, an exciting new restaurant coming to Eddy Street Commons in South Bend. Designed for Navarre Hospitality Group, the project is quickly taking shape as construction enters its final stages.

Originally envisioned as the transformation of an existing retail space into a vibrant Italian dining destination, Osteria Amici has been carefully crafted to provide an inviting atmosphere for guests while supporting the operational needs of a modern restaurant. The project includes approximately 200 seats, outdoor dining, a private dining area, a central beverage bar, and a commercial kitchen designed to support an exceptional dining experience.

Walking the space with our team gave us the opportunity to review the progress firsthand, discuss the final details with the project team, and appreciate how months of collaboration are becoming reality.

We're looking forward to seeing the finishing touches come together and can't wait to experience Osteria Amici once it opens its doors to the South Bend community.

Thank You, Caty! 👋

As we wrap up another successful internship season, we'd like to recognize Caty Leahy and thank her for the time, energy, and enthusiasm she brought to Alliance Architects.

Throughout her internship, Caty embraced every opportunity to learn, collaborate, and contribute alongside our architecture and engineering teams. As a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Notre Dame, she approached each experience with curiosity, professionalism, and a genuine eagerness to grow.

Beyond her technical contributions, Caty became a wonderful part of our team culture. Whether collaborating on projects or joining our Young Professionals for lunch, she brought a positive attitude and a friendly spirit that made her a pleasure to work with.

We're grateful she chose to spend part of her summer with us and are excited to see where her career takes her as she returns to Notre Dame for her senior year.

Bon Voyage, Luis! 👋

Today, we're saying farewell to a valued member of the Alliance Architects family.

Since joining Alliance after graduation, Luis Olguin has brought creativity, technical expertise, and an exceptional eye for design to every project he touched. From developing detailed 3D models to creating compelling visualizations, Luis had a remarkable ability to transform ideas into images that helped clients and teams envision what was possible.

Beyond his technical skills, Luis has been a thoughtful architectural designer, a collaborative teammate, and an integral part of our studio culture. His passion for design, willingness to share ideas, and positive attitude made him someone we all enjoyed working alongside.

While we're sad to see him go, we're excited to see where his next chapter takes him. We know he'll continue to make a meaningful impact wherever his career leads.

Peter returns to us as an Architectural Intern after previously completing an internship with our team. Now entering his final year at Ball State University, he continues to build on a strong foundation of design thinking, technical skill, and collaborative spirit.

Having already experienced our studio culture, Peter seamlessly connects with our Young Professionals group and contributes meaningfully to project discussions and team initiatives. His familiarity with our workflow, combined with fresh academic insight, makes him a valuable addition this summer.
