More than 20 students in the Class of 2026 signed letters of intent last Friday to enter into various industries, including automotive technology, building trades, cosmetology, manufacturing and medical professions.

Three major industry awards. One remarkable project. 🏒

PC Construction is honored to receive the CMAA New England Mark H. Hasso Project of the Year Award for our work on the Shawn Walsh Hockey Center and Harold Alfond Arena Renovation and Expansion at the University of Maine, capping a hat trick of recognition alongside the MEREDA Notable Project Award and the AGC Build Maine Award.

Transforming Maine's only NCAA Division I hockey venue – 31,000 SF of renovations and 21,000 SF of new construction, all while keeping the arena active and its historic character intact – was exactly the kind of complex, collaborative challenge our team lives for.

Thank you to the University of Maine, WBRC, ME Engineers, Crawford Architects, and all of our partners on this incredible project.

On Friday, Collin Langevin and Vernon Ouelette joined fellow Bellows Free Academy and Northwest Career & Technical Center classmates at a skilled trades signing ceremony — and committed to begin their careers right here at PC Construction. They were among 31 high school graduates who signed with local employers across the construction trades, automotive, manufacturing, cosmetology, and medical fields.

Congratulations to the entire class — and welcome, Collin and Vernon! We can't wait to see all you accomplish.

A ribbon cutting like no other! Yesterday’s grand opening of the expanded Weidmann Electrical Technology Facility in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, was one for the books — mocktails, jazz, a torch ceremony, and aerial performers. All inside a transformed cold storage warehouse our team completed last June.

Grateful to Weidmann for the partnership, and proud of everything our team built.

Yesterday’s grand opening celebrated the recently completed Weidmann Electrical Technology Facility expansion: a 10,000sf warehouse, equipment upgrades, and a 25,000sf addition to the Fabrication North building.

We topped out! 🏗️ This morning, our team set the final structural steel on the 40,000-square-foot Central Environmental Laboratory expansion for Hampton Roads Sanitation District in Virginia Beach — a major milestone made even more meaningful by the complexity behind it.

Construction has been happening feet away from a fully operational lab every single day. No interruptions. Just careful planning, tight sequencing, and a team committed to doing it right.

That final beam? Covered in signatures, notes, and drawings from the HRSD, PC Construction, CDM Smith teams, trade partners, and lab staff. A true record of the people behind the work.

PC Construction set the final structural steel on the 40,000-square-foot Central Environmental Laboratory expansion for HRSD in Virginia Beach. The completed facility will house eight BSL-1 laboratory spaces.

What a night! Our team had a great time at the 118 Foundation’s Rock and Raise celebration. The foundation, which was founded by PC employee owner Brandon Knight and his wife, Sadie, supports young adults making their comeback from cancer. Seeing so many people gather to support this important community resource was truly special.

A great day on the course in support of Hampton Roads Utility & Heavy Contractors Association!

Last week, members of our HRSD Central Environmental Laboratory project team participated in HRUHCA’s annual golf tournament, taking the day to network with fellow members and industry professionals.

The team finished first in our flight with a gross score of 65, with Carter Jackson leading the way as MVP. It’s always a win to support an important organization and spend time with our partners!
